Global Brands adds Blanco to its ‘comprehensive’ tequila toolkit

TAKE Tequila, owned by Global Brands, has officially launched its premium Blanco expression to the UK on-trade, expanding its range with a new option designed to elevate both classic and contemporary serves.

With tequila demand booming, CGA data reports a 3.2% rise in tequila’s value in the on-trade last year, reaching £276 million, despite an overall decline in total spirits sales.

The category is seeing especially strong growth in large venues, where tequila sales have surged by up to 26.6%.

Created to ‘streamline cocktail-making and inspire fresh serves’, TAKE aims to make tequila more accessible and exciting for both bartenders and drinkers alike.

Made with 100% Blue Weber agave and double-distilled in copper column stills in Jalisco, it sits at 38% ABV, offering a versatile and robust base, whether poured neat, or as the foundation of standout cocktails.

“TAKE Tequila Blanco is all about delivering a premium agave experience whilst keeping things fresh and adaptable behind the bar,” said Holly Bolus, senior brand manager at Global Brands.

“Tequila is no longer just for shots; it’s becoming the backbone of the UK’s most-loved cocktails, with the Margarita still reigning as the number one serve nationwide.

“TAKE Blanco is ideal for classic builds, but it also plays beautifully with contemporary twists, giving bars plenty of scope to push boundaries and surprise guests.”

The Blanco joins TAKE’s already popular range of flavoured tequila liqueurs – Jalapeño, Pink Grapefruit, and Pineapple – offering bartenders what Global described as a ‘comprehensive toolkit’ to reinvigorate menus with minimal fuss.
