The Scottish Rum Festival is returning to Glasgow on Saturday 6th September 2025, marking five years since it was first launched as a virtual event in 2020.
This showcase of Scotland’s ‘dynamic and fast-growing’ rum scene will once again take place at SWG in the cty’s West End.
“From traditional Caribbean-inspired distilling methods to bold, experimental expressions, this year’s festival promises a deep dive into the creativity and craftsmanship driving Scotland’s rum renaissance,” said organisers.
“Ticketholders will enjoy the opportunity to sample and discover an exceptional range of premium rums from across the country, while connecting directly with the passionate makers who are shaping the category.”
The day will be split into two sessions – afternoon and evening – with 600 rum enthusiasts expected to attend.
This year’s lineup features more exhibiting producers, including The Glasgow Distillery, Wester, Titan Spirits, The GlenAllachie Distillery, East Neuk Spirit Company, J. Gow Distillery, Matugga Distillers, North Point Distillery, The Islay Rum Company and Rum Bothy, alongside newcomers like Rum Cay Rum.
Festivalgoers can also look forward to a pop-up rum bar run by Glasgow’s award-winning Daddy Marmalades team, serving an exclusive festival cocktail menu; expert talks led by rum educator Peter Holland, of The Floating Rum Shack; interactive cocktail-making; street food stalls; and a live DJ sound system.
“It’s an absolute joy to bring The Scottish Rum Festival into its fifth year and to witness the growing momentum behind Scotland’s rum scene,” said SRF organiser Jasmine Wheelhouse.
“What began as an online celebration during the pandemic in 2020 has evolved into a vibrant community and a national movement. In 2025, we’re proud to shine an even brighter spotlight on the innovation, diversity and camaraderie that define Scottish rum.
“Expect more producers, bold new expressions, and of course – world-class rum.”
Early bird tickets for the event have already sold out.
