THE team from Sky Sports were on hand at wholesale depots in Glasgow and Edinburgh last week to promote the broadcaster’s coverage of the upcoming Golf Majors tournaments.
The team visited Booker Shawfield in Glasgow on 27th March and Makro Edinburgh the following day, where they chatted with local publicans and handed out branded water bottles to help raise awareness of the tournaments. Ad vans promoting the Majors and other Sky Sports content were also deployed in the areas to help further boost the profile of the broader Sky Sports offer.
James Tweddle, director of hospitality for Sky Business, said: “Knowing Scotland as the home of golf and Sky being the home of the Majors 2025, we thought it would be great to raise awareness of the upcoming Masters in the local Bookers in Edinburgh and Glasgow, ensuring local landlords heading for supplies are ready for the great summer of sport ahead on Sky.”
The Majors kick off with The Masters tournament between 10th and 13th April, with the PGA Championship taking place between 15th and 18th May and the US Open between 12th and 15th June.
