West coast boutique hotel collection, Sonas, picked up five awards at the prestigious National Hotels of the Year Awards – Scotland.
Each of its four venues – three on Skye and one in Oban – received accolades.
On Skye, Duisdale House was awarded Romantic Hotel of the Year, Skeabost House won the Island Weddings Award, Toravaig House was recognised with the Wee Beauty Award, while across in Oban, Knipoch House received the Bedroom Design Award.
Additionally Jennifer Gracie, daughter of owner Anne Gracie-Gunn, was honoured with the Heart Award for Exceptional Services to Hotel Life.

Sonas is the ‘passion project’ of couple Gracie-Gunn and Ken Gunn, and began in 2003 with the opening of Toravaig House on the Isle of Skye.
“The success we’ve experienced over the past 20 years has exceeded our expectations, as we continue to grow and evolve, we remain committed to upholding the same values that have always driven us,” said Gracie-Gunn.
“This recent achievement is the result of continued years of hard work and the dedication of our incredible team – and to the passion we put into creating unique, warm and memorable hospitality experiences for our guests.”
Sonas Collection aims to provide an ‘exceptional guest experience’, while being mindful of sustainability, local sourcing, and maintaining the intimate character of each property – plus never forgetting to ’embrace and protect’ the Gaelic language and culture of its home turf.
