As part of this year’s Celtic Connections celebrations, the Scottish National Whisky Festival has been scheduled to return to Glasgow on that most appropriate date for fans of the Uisge Beatha, Burns Night.

Organisers are promising that it will be the touring festival’s ‘biggest ever’ event, happening across multiple spaces within Clydeside venue SWG3 on Saturday 25th January.

Ticketholders will have the chance to sample literally hundreds of whiskies from world-renowned distilleries and independent bottlers, while chatting to the staff running the event’s multiple stands.

Alongside all that whisky, there will be ‘guest spirits and experimental flavours’, expertly mixed cocktails, local food offerings, and a specially-curated bill of live entertainment, including music from Scottish performers in collaboration with Celtic Connections.

The festival also hosts an on-site whisky shop with a broad selection of bottles to take home – including festival exclusive bottlings – courtesy of event partner retailer Robbie’s Whisky Merchants.

SNWF co-ordinator Gareth Croll said: “We are very excited to be bringing the festival back to Glasgow for our biggest ever event at SWG3.

“Celtic Connections is always fantastic fun and we are thrilled to be part of the festival again this year for what is sure to be a truly memorable Burns Night! We can’t wait to show you all what we have been working on. See you on the 25th! “
