Scottish hospitality group Buzzworks has been accredited as one of the ‘Best Companies to Work For’ in the UK for the ninth consecutive year.

The Ayrshire-based business, which now operates 21 venues across Scotland, earned 60th place on the ‘Best Large Company to Work For in the UK’ list – climbing six places from last year’s result.

The group was also named as the ninth ‘Best Company to Work For in Scotland’ and the ninth ‘Best Leisure & Hospitality Company to Work For in the UK’.

These lists are published annually by employee engagement specialist Best Companies to recognise organisations that are ‘going the extra mile’ to support their employees through workplace initiatives and schemes.

Buzzworks has earned its regular inclusion in Best Companies’ good books through the ‘industry-leading’ benefits, ongoing training and development, career progression, flexible working and health and wellbeing incentives it offers its staff.

Head of people at Buzzworks, Nicola Watt, said: “Being recognised as one of the UK’s best companies to work for the ninth year running is a real honour.

“Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we are continually investing in their growth, wellbeing, and happiness by introducing initiatives and benefits we believe make a real difference to our team members’ lives, both professionally and personally.

“This recognition is a fantastic achievement for our team and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Buzzworks, who go above and beyond every day to make our venues welcoming, inspiring, and great places to work,” said Watt.

As well as securing a spot on this year’s list, the hospitality group also retained their two-star ‘Outstanding Company to Work For’ accreditation for 2024, again for the ninth year in a row.

Nicola added: “What makes achieving a two-star accreditation so special is that it comes from the views and experiences of our team. So, to receive this award once again demonstrates our ongoing commitment to create a supportive and positive workplace culture and we’re excited to keep building on this success for years to come.”

Buzzworks is set to launch its newest Lido café bar and restaurant in Musselburgh this winter, with plans for further expansion in the pipeline.

The group is currently recruiting for a range of front-of-house, kitchen and chef roles at all levels. To find out more, visit: www.belongatbuzzworks.com
