Orchid, the Aberdeen bar that helped pioneer Scotland’s modern cocktail scene, is up for sale.
Orchid first opened on Langstane Place in 2009, and quickly picked up an array of accolades, including winning SLTN’s Best Cocktail Bar in Scotland award four times, being placed on the UK’s Top 50 Best Bars list, and being shortlisted for GQ magazine’s Bar of the Year.
Many of Orchid’s former team members went on to own and manage several of the world’s top bars.
The directors of the three-storey venue are now seeking new owners to take on the business. They commented: “For now, it is business as usual so please do continue to visit for a cocktail or two as a new chapter for 51 Langstane Place awaits.”
Graham & Sibbald are handling the sale, and are seeking offers from £325,000.
All fixtures and fittings are to remain within the premises. G & S suggested it was “an ideal turn-key opportunity for someone looking to get their hands on a popular city centre venue”.
