Reflecting ‘evolved ways of working’, Heineken UK – the UK’s largest brewer – has announced plans to relocate its Scottish office and company headquarters away from its current South Gyle Broadway Park location to a smaller Edinburgh city centre address.
The company said that the move to the new ‘modern, flexible working environment for colleagues’ at No. 6 St Andrew Square represented its renewed commitment to Scotland and Edinburgh, following a review of its ‘changing needs’ ahead of the Broadway Park lease expiry due in 2026.
The relocation is anticipated to take place in the second quarter of 2025, subject to detailed planning and relevant approvals. Heineken UK said that it had ‘engaged its colleagues’ on the proposed move and will provide support during the transition to the new location.
Managing director Boudewijn Haarsma said: “With a continued commitment to Scotland and to our home in Edinburgh, we were keen to find an office with an environment that really served our changing needs.
“6 St Andrew Square is not only a fantastic, vibrant city-centre location, but an attractive, modern, flexible working space which will inspire colleagues and wow visitors.
“I’m really excited about our future at 6 St Andrew Square, which will become a central hub for our teams to be together and a home we can be proud of in Edinburgh.”
Heineken UK employs over 500 people in Scotland, the majority of whom are based at the Broadway Park office, the company’s largest in the UK.
