Talonmore offers a 0% ABV Dark & Stormy for World Health Day

Talonmore, the Scottish alcohol-free spirit, has teamed with Edinburgh cocktail bar Nightcap to create a new signature serve ahead of World Health Day.

The Talonmore Roar is a fresh take on the traditional ‘Dark & Stormy’ featuring Talonmore and a ‘Lion’s Mane’ mushroom supplement from specialist company Antioxi as well as light tonic water.

The serve, created by the team at Nightcap, taps into the ginger flavour at the heart of Talonmore, which is 0% ABV, but brewed to replicate the experience of drinking a dark spirit, by combining ginger and Assam tea, alongside key ‘superfoods’ prickly pear and hawthorn berry.

The cocktail’s other ingredient, the Lion’s Mane mushroom, has a rich history of asian culinary and medicinal practices dating back thousands of years, and has recently gained western popularity due to its potential role in brain health, memory and cognition, anxiety and mood, nerve tissue health and better sleep.

Lewis Kennedy

Lewis Kennedy, managing director at Talonmore Drinks Company, said: “Talonmore supports the importance of health & wellbeing. It’s easy to forget that we need to look after our health in order to be the best versions of ourselves.

“Antioxi’s ideology toward wellbeing is something our team really admires; the company’s extensive research and passion into the medicinal benefits of mushrooms really opened our eyes to what’s possible when creating new cocktails.”

Kennedy continued:  “The expert backing of Nightcap helped us gain confidence in the flavours.

“It was a lot of fun to experiment with different flavours and create the ‘Talonmore Roar’! Served ice-cold with an orange wedge garnish, the cocktail really highlights that distinct ginger flavour that we pride ourselves on, we really want our loyal Talonmore fans to give this cognitive concoction a try.”
