The SLTN Awards is now open for entries – you have to be in it to win it!

David Walliams presented the 2023 SLTN Awards … but who will be in the spotlight this year?

The hunt for Scotland’s best operators, venues and staff is now underway with the launch of the 2024 SLTN Awards!

Scotland’s top night for the hospitality industry will take place on Thursday 7th November at the Hilton Glasgow – when trophies will be handed out in more than 20 different categories.

But there’s a long way to go before that!

The best way to secure your place at the 2024 SLTN Awards is to ensure you’re in the running for one of our coveted corkscrew trophies.

Entries for this year’s awards are now open, and with categories spanning everything from Bartender of the Year and Best Outdoor Area to Community Pub of the Year and Restaurant of the Year, there should be a category that your hospitality business can compete in. Perhaps even several categories.

You’ll find details of all the categories in this year’s awards in the following pages.

The entry process is simple and completely free. Just visit the SLTN Awards website (sltn.co.uk/sltn-awards), select the category or categories you would like to enter, answer a few questions about yourself or your business – either in writing or by recording a short video – and you’re all set.

All entries will then be reviewed by the SLTN team, before shortlists of six are drawn up for each category.

For most categories, these shortlisted entrants will then be visited by SLTN Awards judges over the summer months.

The top three shortlisted entries in each category are invited to the SLTN Awards in November, where the winners will be announced in front of a 700-strong audience drawn from across the Scottish hospitality and drinks industries.

Entries close on 24th May, so make sure you have your online entry completed by then.

There are no barriers to entry, no minimum requirements. The awards are open to all, whether you run a community pub in the Highlands or a city centre cocktail bar in Edinburgh. Whether you’re an industry veteran of 30 years standing or you are six months into your hospitality career.

Are you proud of your venue’s spirits range, your food or the quality of your pints? Or perhaps you think you, or one of your coworkers, deserve to be named Bartender or Licensee of the Year.

If that’s the case, take a few minutes to submit an entry. For yourself, your business, or someone else you think deserves recognition.

As with every year, you have to be in it to win it, so don’t miss the chance of a night out at Scottish hospitality’s biggest event.

SLTN print editor, Dave Hunter, said: “Judging the SLTN Awards is a highlight for the team here every year. The standard of businesses and operators is always outstanding, and we can’t wait to get back on the road again this summer.

“The very best of luck to everyone!”
