CHARITIES in the areas around the 19 hospitality venues that Buzzworks now operates around Scotland are in line for regular donations from the company under a newly reintroduced staff incentive initiative.
The quarterly ‘pro-social bonus scheme’ was claimed as a first-of-its-kind when it was originally launched in 2017.
Under it, each Buzzworks venue is scored monthly based on various factors including sales, customer service and mystery shoppers. Quarterly, the top four performing sites are then given a share of £1000 from the company to gift to any registered charity of their choice.
The latest winning venues of the reintroduced scheme were announced this week as Scotts Troon, Scotts Largs, The Treehouse in Ayr and Thirty Knots in South Queensferry, which each took cash prizes for their chosen charities.
Scotts Troon took top prize and chose to gift its winning sum to Cash for Kids. Second place Scotts Largs presented Crosshouse Children’s Fund with their donation, while. The final beneficiary was Queensferry Parish Church Food Bank, chosen by the team at Thirty Knots, South Queensferry.
Buzzworks head of people, Nicola Watt, said: “We are proud to bring back the pro-social bonus and relaunch this scheme at Buzzworks, which we believe was the first of its kind within the hospitality industry back in 2017.
“The pro-social bonus is a way of us giving back and rewarding the hard work and dedication of our employees, whilst supporting the communities in which we operate.
“By offering the choice of charity to the individual winning venues, this ensures our people and the communities we work in come first,” said Watt.
“All of the team pulled together to try and win for their selected charities and judging was difficult; however, there were four clear winners and congratulations is in order for each of the successful venues.”
The Buzzworks group is currently hiring for a number of kitchen and front-of-house vacancies at its premises across Scotland.
