Forged Irish Stout performs beyond the ‘wildest expectations’ of its creators

New Dublin-made beer brand Forged Irish Stout is claiming ‘remarkable success’ since going live with drinks distributor LWC at the start of October.

The stout, which is being championed by Mixed Martial Arts star Conor McGregor, is now available on draught in over 500 pubs, across 20 cities.

Forged is also claiming ‘significant popularity’ in the off-trade, with listings in ASDA stores and Beerhunter helping sell over a million cans through retail since its launch earlier this year.

Chief marketing officer Doug Leddin said: “Forged is performing beyond our wildest expectations, and we have no intention of slowing down anytime soon. The brand has grown phenomenally in such a short amount of time, which is down to the sheer quality that you don’t find with other brands in the market.”

Using 100% Irish ingredients, Forged claims that it is setting a new standard for smooth, creamy, and fresh stouts, with a complex flavour profile arising from its blend of malts, including pale malt, crystal malt, Munich malt, black malt, roasted barley, and wheat.

The McGregor family is bullish about the future prospects for their stout, equating its ‘rise from nothing’ to Conor’s own sporting success story – declaring that they are not here to take part, but to take over.
