Edinburgh’s new ‘party parlour and cocktail house’, Freddy’s, opened its doors for the first time last month.
Situated right in the middle of the city centre at 24 Frederick Street, Freddy’s offers live music, signature serves and specials, world-class beers, all within custom-designed interiors.
The venue was created in collaboration with ARKA Design Studio and the creative minds at Too Gallus, with no expense spared on lighting and sound. The aim was ‘contemporary, yet warm and welcoming’, with low lighting, exposed brick and lots of cosy corners.
Freddy’s anticipates growing demand for ‘experienced-based’ venues in Scotland showcasing the capital’s vibrant music scene, and has already secured a line-up of up-and-coming artists, bands, DJs and performers across two stages seven days a week, while also providing an elegant space for catch-ups, social gatherings and more.
General Manager Gavin Currie, said: “The entire Freddy’s team are overwhelmed with the support we have received for our opening weekend. So many of you came to see our party parlour in action. It went better than we could have expected and would like to thank each and ever person who came down to celebrate with us!
“We are excited to keep celebrating with you all, as we can see the bookings pouring in, not just for our first few weekends, but extending all the way through to December and the new year. It’s great to witness how our concept resonates with so many people, filling a much-needed gap in Edinburgh’s hospitality scene,” said Currie.
“Our commitment to spotlighting local talent in our entertainment bookings has been a core focus, providing a fantastic platform for numerous artists in Edinburgh to showcase their skills. We’re thrilled to offer an incredible venue for these talented individuals. With a whopping 93 live music bookings per month and a rotation of six different DJs each week, the stage is set for an unforgettable experience.”
