GREENE King, the brewer, pub company and wholesaler, has introduced a new ‘flexible working’ policy across its business that has been designed to help employees balance their work/life commitments.
The initiative includes an improved paternity leave policy and up to five antenatal or adoption appointments and improvements to the company’s compassionate leave and emergency leave for dependents, which offers paid time off for up to five days and an additional day to attend a funeral.
“Our company prides itself on its people and they are at the heart of our success,” said chief people officer Andrew Bush.
“It is right for us to recognise how people’s lives change throughout their careers and at different life stages, and we are pleased to offer such a wide level of support. We cannot predict when things will happen in people’s lives, but, as a good employer, we can support them when it’s needed.”
