Highlands hospitality and travel company Cru Holdings has recognised the top talent in its workforce at an awards do in the Drumossie hotel in Inverness.
Around 150 staff and guests joined sponsors and the executive team for a glitzy white-themed party at the Highland hotel, where 19 individual and team award categories were recognised following a three course dinner and wine, then partied into the night with DJs and a drag act.
Cru managing director Scott Murray said: “It has been an incredibly tough couple of years for both hospitality and travel, and these annual events are a great way of saying thank you.
“We very much wanted to ensure that this year was 100% focussed on the people within our business, and the usual corporate summaries and presentations were replaced by energetic performances, great food, and little surprises along the way.”
Decorated to emulate an Ibiza beach club, the venue was dressed exclusively in white and silver, with beach balls, podium dancers, Balearic DJ, violinist and even a beach volleyball court.
“It’s the most elaborate event we have thrown to date since the company started some 15 years ago, and was a success in every way,” said Scott. “It’s not something that anyone will forget for some time, and we hope can go just a little way to reassuring our teams how central they are to our success.”
Awards presented included Business of the year; employee of the year for each business; manager of the year, as well as team of the year; rising star; and biggest contribution to the company.
This week, 10 of these award winners will join Cru’s executive team in Turkey for a 4-day, 5-star all-inclusive retreat where they will experience some of the best hospitality that the Turkish Riviera has to offer.
From its headquarters in Strothers Lane, Cru Holdings has won numerous awards both for its approach to staff welfare, and innovative business practices. Inverness Travel has recently gained Real Living Wage accreditation.
