Freshen up your pub garden with Thatchers

LOOKING to get your outdoor area looking sharp ahead of the summer months? A new promotion from cider maker Thatchers could have you covered.

The initiative will see three pubs across the UK awarded a £10,000 garden makeover, with each makeover tailored to that particular outlet.

Ten runners-up will receive a garden ‘parasol kit’, which contains a Thatchers ‘jumbrella’ and five parasols.

Both winners and runners-up will also receive a Thatchers sampling event for their outlet.

To participate, pubs need to purchase three 50-litre kegs of Thatchers products from participating wholesalers before the closing date of 30th April. They can participate as many times as they like before the deadline.

In Scotland, participating suppliers include Dunns Food and Drinks, Inverarity Morton, Sutherland Bros and JW Gray Shetland & Orkney.

“A pub’s outside space, whether a garden or courtyard, however large or small, has an increasingly growing appeal to customers,” said Rob Sandall, on-trade sales director at Thatchers.

“The addition of plants and shrubs creates an attractive and welcoming environment, with items such as garden furniture, umbrellas and planters adding interest throughout the year.

“The winning pubs will each receive expert advice from our makeover team, who’ll work closely with them to implement the new design in time for the summer season, to create the perfect pub garden for the perfect pint of Thatchers.”

Thatchers, which is family owned, claims to account for one in every seven ciders sold in the UK on-trade.
