ScotHot will mark its 50th anniversary by naming the industry’s 50 Rising Stars.

THE hospitality and tourism stars of tomorrow will take centre stage when ScotHot names its 50 Rising Stars next month.

There’s still a few days left to nominate people for this prestigious list, with nominations closing this Friday, 10th February. Make your nominations HERE.

Nominations have been sought across five categories – Hospitality Heroes; Champion Chefs; Rising up in Retail; Brilliant in Beverage; and Tourism Trendsetters – with individuals able to nominate colleagues, friends or employees in each category. Anyone within the industry is eligible, provided they have ten years experience or less.

Ten nominees will be shortlisted in each of the five categories to arrive at the final list of 50 stars – which is being compiled to mark the 50th anniversary of ScotHot.

The judging panel will include Toby Wand, managing director of 365 Events, the team behind ScotHot, and David Cochrane of the Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland.

The 50 that make the final list will appear on a ‘wall of fame’ at the event as well as being invited to an exclusive drinks reception.

“After the challenges presented by the last couple of years, we really want to shine a light on the emerging talent in the sectors represented at ScotHot23,” said Wand.

“This list is a representation of those individuals making a mark in the industry and will give them a platform to be recognised for their hard work.

“It is fantastic to be back and we cannot wait to welcome our partners, sponsors, exhibitors, and guests to ScotHot at the SEC in March.”

ScotHot will take place between 10am and 5pm at the SEC in Glasgow on 8th and 9th March.
