Highland Coast Hotels is now recruiting for over 50 new hospitality positions for its 2023 season, including management, supervisory and service roles in bar, restaurant, housekeeping, kitchen, and front of house.
In its ongoing campaign to bring ‘innovative, sustainable and community-led’ hospitality to the coastlines of the North Highlands, the Scottish-based group has acquired several of the region’s landmark hotels.
Now operating under its banner are the award-winning Kylesku Hotel, overlooking Loch Gleann Dubh in the far West Highlands; Newton Lodge overlooking Loch Glencoul a few minutes away from Kylesku; Plockton Inn on the western seaboard of the North Highlands; the historic Tongue Hotel on the north coast; the Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch; and the Royal Marine Hotel in Brora.
In a bid to boost the workforce at these venues, Highland Coast Hotels has announced plans to stage a series of hospitality recruitment events on Wednesday 25th January, taking place between 11am and 5pm at the Royal Golf, the Royal Marine, the Tongue and the Kylesku, where people can also find out about job opportunities at the Newton Lodge.
For career opportunities at Plockton, HCH will be hosting a drop-in event at Plockton Village Hall between 12.30pm and 5pm on the same day.
Group chairman David Whiteford said: “We’re really excited to be gearing up for the 2023 season with our Recruitment Open Day on Wednesday 25thJanuary.
“People interested in kick-starting their career in hospitality this year can look forward to an inspiring Highland adventure where they can develop their professional skills as part of an award-winning and supportive team at Highland Coast Hotels.
“There’s no need to register or book ahead,” stressed Mr Whiteford. “We’re encouraging everyone to call in for an informal chat, meet colleagues and discuss the great full-time and part-time opportunities on offer across our landmark coastal venues.”
The Tongue Hotel will be re-opening to visitors in late March 2023 following a three-month, £800K refurbishment, giving it 19 individually-styled guest rooms and a newly refurbished restaurant and bar.
The Plockton Inn is also undergoing a comprehensive £1 million refurbishment, which will see its 14 bedrooms reduced to 12 to allow for larger en-suite bathrooms for certain rooms, and complete redecoration of all other bedrooms, bathrooms and corridors. In addition, the restaurant and dining areas and the bar will all enjoy a sympathetic refurbishment, retaining the existing period features in all areas.
