PUBS and bars around Glasgow will be in good humour this March when they take part in the Glasgow Comedy Festival.
This year the festival, running between 15th March and 2nd April, will include 380 different events in 37 venues across the city.
These include popular pubs such as The Griffin, Blackfriars, McChuills, Drygate and The Flying Duck as well as city theatres like The King’s, The Pavilion and the SEC Armadillo.
The line-up will include up-and-coming comedians as well as big name performers such as Frankie Boyle, Fern Brady, Stewart Lee and Susie McCabe.
“Seeing the range of talent that 2023’s festival has to offer fills me with pride and cements in my mind that Glasgow really is the funniest city in the world,” said festival director Krista MacDonald.
“The festival is a major event for the city, showcasing homegrown talent, nurturing the next generation and bringing much loved names to the city – and the programme really does rise to create a truly special occasion.
“There is no audience like a Glasgow audience, and whether you are from Glasgow or beyond, you will not want to miss out on being a part of it. There is something for everyone’s tastes.”
