THE Bonnie Badger in Gullane will honour Robert Burns in its own way this month when it welcomes ‘Hebridean Baker’ and TikTok star Coinneach MacLeod for a special afternoon tea.

On Saturday 21st January customers will be able to enjoy a menu inspired by MacLeod’s second cookbook, The Hebridean Baker: My Scottish Island Kitchen, while the baker himself entertains them with stories and songs.

There will be two sittings, at 2.30pm and 5pm, with tickets priced £35 per person (£45 with the addition of a special Scottish islands cocktail).

“We are always inspired by other people who share our deep-rooted pride for Scotland and the incredible larder we have access to, so it’s great to be welcoming Coinneach to The Bonnie Badger,” said owner Tom Kitchin.

“I really admire his passion for his home, his community and his recipes that truly celebrate Scotland.

“We’re looking forward to offering our guests a wee slice of The Hebrides at The Bonnie Badger for the afternoon.”

MacLeod added that he was “hoping to offer a little taster of home” at the event.

“It felt like a natural partnership to work with the team at The Bonnie Badger to celebrate all that is great about Scotland’s traditions, treats, stories and songs,” he said.

“A dog-friendly venue is always a must too and we’re sure Seòras our Westie pup will also be made to feel right at home!”
