Survey reveals that younger consumers want fruit flavour
STRAWBERRY has been voted the UK’s favourite gin flavour, with more than one in five respondents to a survey by Spanish gin brand Puerto de Indias and market research firm 3Gem saying they’d pick it over any other flavour.
And the findings reveal that strawberry-flavoured gin is especially popular with the younger demographic, with over half of 18 to 24 year olds rating it as their favourite flavour.
One in five consumers also voted strawberries as their favourite gin garnishes, as opposed to the staples of lemon or lime.
In total, the survey quizzed 2000 consumers around the UK on their gin preferences.
