A NEW owner is being sought for a Borders hotel.
Balcary House Hotel in Hawick sits in over three acres of mature private grounds and offers “extraordinary views” of the River Teviot and Wilton Lodge Park.
The property, which is said to date from 1888, has been “transformed” over the past five years by the current owners.
In addition to the nine “beautifully restored” bedrooms, the hotel has “numerous reception rooms and a relaxed bar area”, while the grounds are said to provide the ideal location for a marquee for up to 200 guests. There is also owner’s accommodation on the top floor.
A spokeswoman for Bruce & Co said: “The Balcary House Hotel is within easy reach of many historical tourist attractions and, for golf lovers, there are 21 excellent golf courses within roughly an hour’s drive away making this boutique hotel the ideal base for golfing breaks.”
