Set sail to Tarbert for a scenic hospitality opportunity

Islay Frigate Hotel in Tarbert

AN operator looking for a hotel opportunity in Argyllshire might be interested in the Islay Frigate Hotel in Tarbert.

The hotel, which is said to have been significantly upgraded by the current owner – who has had the property since 2010 – has eight letting bedrooms, a 60-cover restaurant, 30-cover bar and restaurant, a 24-cover breakfast lounge and a 40-cover outside area.

Selling agent Bruce & Co said the hotel has ‘a truly enviable reputation for excellent food and homely accommodation’.

“It enjoys many repeat visitors from a loyal and expanding client base,” said the company.

Located on the shores of East Loch Tarbert, an inlet to Loch Fyne, Tarbert hosts various events throughout the year, including seafood festivals and the Scottish Series yacht race.

The village is also ideally positioned as a base for visits to both the Kintyre Peninsula and the nearby Isle of Islay – one of Scotland’s most popular destinations for whisky tourists.
