A LONDON bar business describing itself as a “ball pit for grown-ups” will expand north of the border this summer with a new venue in Edinburgh.
Ballie Ballerson operates a bar and adult ball pit in Shoreditch, where customers are able to book sessions in the ball pit area as well as choosing from a range of cocktails, beers and spirits. The balls in the ball pit are said to be regularly cleaned and disinfected.
The operator is now bringing the concept to Edinburgh, where it will open a 300-capacity venue in the former McSorley’s on Forrest Road.
Split across two floors, the venue will include a “waist-deep, wall-to-wall, mirrored, LED disco bottomed ball pit” as well as bar areas and a wellness room for customers to use as a safe space.
Founder Wenny Armstrong said: ‘We’re so excited to bring all things Ballie Ballerson to Edinburgh.
“Scotland was an easy choice when expanding Ballie Ballerson outside of England because we know Scots are always up for a good time. It’s been difficult keeping it a secret but we’re so glad to get the news out there and be ready to welcome some new ballers through our doors.”
The Edinburgh venue will open later in the summer.
