THOUSANDS of food and drink fans descended on Paisley last weekend for the return of the Paisley Food and Drink Festival.
In total, more than 30 traders were present at the event, which last took place in 2019. Offers included a beer tent from Renfrewshire CAMRA, which served more than 40 cask and craft beers, a Prosecco van and cocktail bars as well as street food stalls and live music. Entertainment on Friday 29th was organised by Glasgow venue The Rum Shack before Paisley venue The Bungalow took over for Saturday. And families were catered for with ‘foodie workshops’ that included pizza-making and chocolate-making as well as activities such as terracotta pot painting.
In total, 17,000 people were said to have attended the two-day event.
Kathryn McCormick, general manager of street food specialist Platform, which attended the festival, said: “We had a fantastic weekend with our Platform on Tour area at Paisley Food and Drink Festival – and the crowd were just as happy to be back out enjoying this fab festival.
“A lovely bunch of people, great food, drinks and music. We can’t wait to come back next year!”
