FRESH seasonal produce is at the heart of a new menu at Musselburgh seafood restaurant East Coast.
A new menu of seasonal dishes, changing monthly, will launch in May, with the first monthly menu including a mixed grill featuring Scottish langoustines, scallops and salmon.
The new seasonal offer is the work of East Coast head chef Andrea Bertazzolo, who has been at the restaurant since it opened in 2018.
He said: “I was really keen to simplify our main menu, retain our firm favourites, but run a series of specials alongside it, which are more in season and supply-dependent.
“We plan to change these specials every month throughout the year to keep offering our customers something fresh and exciting.”
Carlo Crolla, who owns East Coast with wife Katia, said Bertazzolo’s cooking style “is a perfect fit for East Coast, where we showcase the best local and seasonal produce we can source, with big, bold flavours”.
“It’s the perfect fusion of traditional Italian cooking with contemporary Scottish hospitality and style,” said Crolla.
