AYRSHIRE hospitality group SimpsInns has embarked on a major recruitment drive as it looks to attract an influx of young employees.
The family-owned business, which operates venues in Irvine, West Kilbride and Troon, is looking to recruit more than 20 people between the ages of 18 and 30 to fill a range of positions across its estate. These include front of house, bar and kitchen roles.
The company will host two recruitment events – on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th March at The Gailes Hotel in Irvine and The Waterside Hotel in West Kilbride, respectively.
SimpsInns founders Malcolm and Karen Simpson have appointed their sons, Lee and Jack, as ‘campaign ambassadors’. The brothers – both of whom work in the business – will be responsible for promoting the range of roles in the company and helping recruits find jobs that fit their skills.
Lee said: “We’re really keen to get the message out there that young people within Ayrshire and around Scotland have the opportunity to play an important role in helping the struggling hospitality sector get back on its feet after the damaging impact of the pandemic. Employing committed, talented and enthusiastic staff will be an important part of that process at SimpsInns.”
Jack said the company “has a variety of roles across all entry levels with great long-term career opportunities”.
“We now have over 20 roles available across our Ayrshire-wide portfolio, including chefs, front of house, spa therapists and operations managers,” he said.
