A TRIO of properties stretching from the Borders to the Highlands has changed hands in deals brokered by property agent Bruce & Co.

The Tower Hotel in the Borders village of Oxton was sold to first-time buyers after attracting a high level of interest and six offers.

The hotel, which has traded since the early 1900s, has an open-plan bar and games room, a lounge and a restaurant. Bruce & Co said the new owners planned to carry out some refurbishment work before reopening the business.

Sales negotiator Lauren Lees said: “I am very pleased for our client that we were able to find the perfect buyers and grateful we were given this opportunity.”

Bruce & Co also handled the sale of Arran House – a nine-bedroom guest house business in the centre of St Andrews – to a corporate buyer; and Fassifern B&B in Fort William to a first-time buyer.
