Hotels group in multi-million refurb pledge

Crerar’s Loch Fyne Hotel.

SCOTTISH hotels group Crerar has announced plans to invest £4.5 million across three of its properties – bringing the total investment in its estate over the past year to £10m.

The most recent round of investment will involve refurbishments at the group’s Loch Fyne, Deeside Inn and Golf View hotels, in Inveraray, Ballater and Nairn, respectively.

The projects, to be completed early next year, will include the creation of new spas at Loch Fyne and Golf View, while the Deeside Inn is to be relaunched as The Balmoral Arms in spring 2022 after an extensive, £2.2m refurbishment.

The new projects come after the company overhauled its Glencoe Inn and Isle of Mull hotels.

Chris Wayne-Wills, chief executive at Crerar Hotels, said the investments “will not only benefit the group, but also the wider Scottish tourist industry”.

“We want to showcase the best in authentic Scottish hospitality as we open our doors to the world again, and that’s exactly what our continued investment is set to achieve,” he said.
