A SCOTTISH Government fund to help small businesses improve their ventilation systems will open for applications on Monday (22nd November).
The ÂŁ25 million fund will dispense grants of up to ÂŁ2500 to small businesses which have carried out work to improve the ventilation in their premises, such as the installation of carbon monoxide monitors or the improvement of windows or vents.
In order to qualify businesses must have a rateable value of under ÂŁ51,000, and businesses with multiple premises will be able to apply for multiple grants, up to a maximum of ÂŁ50,000.
Further eligibility criteria is available on the Scottish Government website and the Find Business Support website.
First minister Nicola Sturgeon said the improvement of ventilation systems can be “valuable long-term investments”.
“For example, better ventilation won’t just reduce the spread of COVID – it will also help reduce the spread of other airborne viruses, now and in the future,” said the first minister.
