Amazon and Sky team up for autumn rugby

LICENSEES will be able to screen the upcoming Autumn Nations Series through their Sky set top boxes after a deal between rights holder Amazon and Sky Business.

The series of matches – which begins with Scotland v Tonga on 30th October – will be screened on a dedicated channel, Prime Video HD (channel number 438) in the UK.

Sky customers can show the games their premises for a £500 fee, with non-Sky customers charged £600 for the matches.

In order to view the series, licensees will have to have an HD capable Sky set top box and an active Sky viewing card. Non Sky customers can order a card by contacting Sky, while existing Sky customers can screen the games by contacting Sky online at https://skyforbusiness.sky.com/sb/portal/business/uk/campaigns/autumnnations

“The Autumn Nations Series is set to feature the top-level competitive international rugby and it was important for us to continue the historic tradition of communal viewing in pubs and rugby clubs,” said Alex Green of Prime Video Sport Europe.

“We’re really excited to deliver this experience to venues and customers in the coming weeks.”
