SCOTTISH bar and restaurant group Buzzworks Holdings has followed up its first company ‘Wellbeing Day’ with the announcement that it will give its entire workforce the day off on New Year’s Day.
The company, which operates 13 venues across the central belt, shut its business on Monday 4th October so that its 500-strong workforce could meet up and spend time participating in activities including horse riding, paint balling and boat trips.
It has now announced that the venues will close again on New Year’s Day so that staff can spend the day with their families.
Managing director Kenny Blair said: “We are really pleased with how well the introduction of our new Wellbeing Day went down with the team.
“Our goal is to create a happy and positive environment for everyone and seeing how much fun was had by all during the Wellbeing Day made all the hard work worth it.
“This is just one part of an ongoing programme of initiatives that support our people in work and at home. We can’t wait to plan our next Wellbeing Day and continue to give our staff the rewards and support they deserve.”
