Is this your island paradise?

THERE’S a chance for an operator to snap up an established 134-bedroom hotel on the Isle of Bute.

In addition to its 134 en suite bedrooms, the Glenburn Hotel has a 200-capacity dining room and a function room with space for over 200 people. The property is set in 6.3 acres of land.

The Glenburn is said to have benefited from significant investment in recent years. However, the business was severely impacted by the pandemic and was placed into administration in August.

Alan Creevy of CDLH, who is marketing the property on behalf of administrators FRP Advisory, said: “The hotel has a fantastic situation in Rothesay on the Island of Bute with spectacular views over the Firth of Clyde down to the Kyles of Bute. Whilst having an island setting the hotel is within two hours of Glasgow and has excellent communication links to major population centres.”

CDLH is seeking offers over £1.1 million for the property.
