City steakhouse turns up heat

Malaga Tapas

A CITY steakhouse business is set for expansion after acquiring new premises close to the existing eatery.

Brett and Ryan Fox, who operate Mini Grill on Glasgow’s Bath Street, have acquired a second unit – the former Malaga Tapas outlet – on nearby Sauchiehall Street. Property firm CDLH, which marketed the premises, said the pair now plan to operate the new unit “as an overspill for their existing business”.

Peter Darroch, director at CDLH, said: “There are a number of vacant units on Sauchiehall Street. However, we are fortunate to have excellent marketing systems and an interactive web site with over 3500 registered members looking to acquire or lease licensed premises.

This resulted in a successful, short marketing campaign.”
