A hundred bars will participate in Edinburgh Cocktail Week

ONE hundred bars across Edinburgh have confirmed that they will take part in this year’s Edinburgh Cocktail Week this October.

Taking place from Monday 11th October until Sunday 24th October, Edinburgh Cocktail Week will see signature cocktails offered for £4 at participating venues across the city, as well as at a pop-up Cocktail Village at Festival Square (which is larger than in previous years in order to incorporate social distancing). In order to access the cocktails customers are required to purchase a wristband for £8 (or £15 for the two weeks). Those who purchased a wristband for the cancelled 2020 festival have had their tickets automatically transferred to this year’s event.

Apex Hotels, the event’s hotel partner, is offering visitors to the city a 10% discount for a single night stay during the festival and a 15% discount on a stay of two or more nights.

“After what has been a tumultuous year, the return of Edinburgh Cocktail Week has been welcomed by bars across the city,” said Edinburgh Cocktail Week managing director, Gary Anderson.

“We are delighted to be supporting so many independent businesses, local jobs and the wider recovery of Edinburgh’s hospitality and tourism sectors.

“The support from bars has been phenomenal and we are looking forward to people getting to experience the thriving bar scene we have here in Edinburgh.

“Our aim is for festival goers to really make the most of it, we have bars taking part from the east to west of the city, with many new bars taking part for the first time, so no matter where you are in the city, you can take part in Edinburgh Cocktail Week.”
