Buzzworks and Compass join apprenticeship scheme

Initiative seeks to inspire the next generation of hospitality leaders

BUZZWORKS Holdings and Compass Scotland have signed up to the Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland (AHS) initiative.

The multiple operator, whose venues include Vic’s & The Vine in Prestwick and Scotts outlets in Troon, Largs and South Queensferry; and the catering services provider, which operates in sites including stadiums, hospitals and offices, join existing AHS partners, including Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness, The Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews and Cameron House at Loch Lomond, in enabling the delivery of the industry-led hospitality apprenticeship programme. Applications for AHS are open to 17-24 year olds across the country.

Rohaise Rose-Bristow, chair of AHS, said the new partners join following a call to hospitality businesses to help close the skills gap.

“We are thrilled that Compass Scotland and Buzzworks Holdings have joined our acclaimed group of partners to provide young professionals with the opportunity to build a career within hospitality and help future-

proof the Scottish hospitality industry’s talent pipeline,” she said.

“Aligning with the aims of the AHS, both of these organisations prioritises nurturing and training their teams and offering clear career prospects for young professionals.

“I am looking forward to working alongside our new and existing partners to inspire the next generation of hospitality leaders.”
