A CHARITY initiative launched by Scottish bar and restaurant group Buzzworks Holdings has reached a significant milestone after donating £5000 to industry charity Hospitality Action.
The company’s Lido venue in Troon has been operating a ‘pop-up’ hatch offering takeaway food and coffee between 9am and 4pm every day, with profits split between Hospitality Action and the company’s own Buzzworks Wellbeing Fund, which supports staff members in need. The service was launched in February and is said to have proved particularly popular with locals exercising alone or with their pets.
“It’s been a difficult year for our industry but I’d like to thank everyone for their continued support.
“We hope to hit our target of raising £10,000 for good causes through the Lido pop-up before dine-in restaurants reopen and we can welcome people back inside our venues.”
