ESPRESSO Martini fans across the UK have something to celebrate this month thanks to the team behind a number of Glasgow bars.
Insomnia, a Glasgow cocktail bar launched late last year and specialising in Espresso Martinis, has introduced a home delivery service featuring six of its cocktails.
The service, which is available across the UK, is the brainchild of Insomnia founders Paul Reynolds and Graham Swankie, whose other businesses include Stack & Still and Gin71. Insomnia opened within Stack & Still on Glasgow’s West George Street last September before it was required to close due to the pandemic.
The home-delivery cocktails, which include Toasted Marshmallow, Minted, The Insomniac, Orange Mocha, Coconut, and Maple, are all supplied pre-mixed in ‘ready to shake’ cocktail bags along with a garnish. They are available through the Insomnia website.
Swankie said: “We were coming up with all sorts of ideas and plans for our reopening and then we decided what are we waiting around for! The demand is still there from our Insomnia fans despite lockdown, and we were seeing increased interest outside the area we could locally deliver to so we figured why limit ourselves.
“There’ve been about a hundred variations leading us to this finished product, but we couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out, and I’m so grateful for our customer base who were requesting this, and our talented team for helping make it happen.”
