A GLASGOW bar and restaurant is making up for the fact it can’t toast St Andrew in its new whisky room by launching a range of whisky cocktails for home delivery.
Ralph & Finns – the outlet until recently known as Urban Bar & Brasserie – has introduced a three-strong range of whisky cocktails to The Glasgow Cocktail Collective, a collaboration between Glasgow cocktail bars including Vodka Wodka, Blue Dog and Kelvingrove Café.
The new cocktails – the Commotion Lotion, Speyside Ruby and Nordic Iced Tea – each feature a different single malt and are priced at £9 each.
The Commotion Lotion mixes Bowmore 12 with Buckfast, the Speyside Ruby features grapefruit Pampelle and Macallan 12 Double Cask and the Nordic Iced Tea contains Highland Park 12, Campari, orange and chamomile.
Whisky has become a larger feature of the venue since its relaunch as the bar and restaurant now includes a dedicated whisky room.
“Whisky despite being our national drink can be quite divisive, so we’ve created a series of cocktails which will be enjoyed equally by both whisky novices and enthusiasts,” said Andy MacSween, operations manager at Ralph & Finns.
“While tier four restrictions mean we are unable to launch our Whisky Room this St Andrew’s Day, we hope people will enjoy the spirit of Ralph & Finns with Glasgow Cocktail Collective at home, in the knowledge that they are also supporting a small, family-run business.”
The venue was reopened as Ralph & Finns by owner Alan Tomkins in early November.
