APPLICATIONS for the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 Restrictions and Hardship grants go live on local authority websites today (October 20).

The Restrictions Fund is available for businesses in the central belt that have been forced to close due to the Scottish Government’s current COVID-19 restrictions.

Grants of £2000 will be available for premises with a rateable value up to £51,000, with £3000 grants available for premises with a rateable value of £51,001 and above.

Businesses with multiple properties can apply for multiple grants, up to a maximum of £15,000.

Local authorities will also be administering the Hardship fund for businesses that remain open but have been impacted by the restrictions.

Businesses can apply for a grant of either £1000 or £1500 depending on their rateable value. Multiple operators can apply for multiple grants, up to a maximum of £10,000.

In order to qualify businesses must have been trading before October 9 and suffered a 25% reduction in turnover due to the restrictions.
