Scots nightclub operators urged to complete business impact survey

Results from online poll will be used to highlight urgent need for financial support for sector which still has no opening date in sight

NIGHTCLUB operators in Scotland are being urged to complete a quick online survey about the impact of the COVID lockdown on their business in a bid to secure financial support for the sector which still has no opening date in sight.

Trade group the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) is calling on club owners north of the border to fill in the quick 14-question multiple choice survey (https://connor941463.typeform.com/to/qUgmr0jR). Information provided will be used to press the Scottish Government for financial support for the sector, which remains in lockdown.

Donald MacLeod, owner of The Garage and Cathouse nightclubs in Glasgow, said: “I would urge others to fill this in as a matter of urgency.

“At the moment our sector is neglected in terms of funding. This effort is to galvanise the trade, to bring it together, and to present a reasonable case for financial support because we’re still in very uncertain times.”
