Operators can register to access a range of support, including hand sanitiser units and PPE
OPERATORS can access a raft of reopening support, including hand sanitiser units and PPE, through Diageo’s Raising the Bar programme.
The drinks giant’s global trade support programme, which goes live in the UK today (July 9), is designed to help bar and restaurant operators as they reopen their businesses following the coronavirus closure period.
Operators can register for Raising the Bar at www.mydiageo.com and apply for 5L hand sanitiser units created in partnership with UK business CleanedUp, which will be delivered with 20L of hand sanitiser from Diageo and a basic hygiene kit containing PPE masks and gloves; kits containing recycled, recyclable and environmentally-friendly rPET drinks containers; and mobile bar solutions, by Special Bar Services, which are fitted with protective ‘sneeze screens’ and extra service points for serving draught beer and draught cocktails. Bars can also access free digital training and support through the Diageo Bar Academy website.
Melissa Wisdom, on trade sales director at Diageo, whose brands include Guinness and Smirnoff, said: “We know how badly outlets need help to open their doors again. We’ve partnered with a range of innovative UK operators to ensure business owners can provide a safe, welcoming space for customers to socialise and celebrate in a socially distanced way, and still have a great experience.”
