Buzzworks sets out planned phased return of venues

Firm behind Scotts and Lido to reopen its 12 venues in three stages

BUZZWORKS Holdings has announced plans for the phased reopening of its venues over a three-week period.

The company, which has 12 outlets across Ayrshire and the central belt, plans to begin the phased return next Wednesday (July 15) with the reopening of four venues: Vic’s & The Vine in Prestwick, Lido in Troon, Scotts at Largs Yacht Haven, and Scotts South Queensferry at Port Edgar Marina.

A further five premises – Scotts in Troon, The Coach House in Bridge of Weir, The Mill House in Stewarton, The Corner House in Kilwinning and The Tree House in Ayr – will reopen on July 22 in the second phase; followed by The Duke and The Long House in Kilmarnock and Lido in Prestwick, which will welcome back customers in the final phase on July 29.

Reduced capacity, limitless contactless payments, visible sanitiser stations and single-use menus are among the safety measures put in place by the multiple operator ahead of reopening.

Kenny Blair, managing director of Buzzworks Holdings, said: “We are delighted to announce our reopening schedule and make steps to finally welcome our teams back to venues and guests back through our doors.

“The team have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure all venues will provide a safe and secure environment that safeguards the health and wellbeing of both our customers and colleagues.

“In recent weeks we’ve been operating a takeaway service from select venues and we’ve been overwhelmed with the interest and uptake. We’d like to thank everyone for their continued support during this difficult time for our business.”
