HEINEKEN has expanded its Pub Collective advice website with a series of informative ‘webinars’ for the on-trade.
The episodes, which can be watched online as videos or downloaded as podcasts, include advice from various industry experts on a number of key areas, including operating food delivery or takeaway services both during and after the lockdown. Licensees can also submit requests for advice on specific subjects.
Experts featured in the first episodes include Michele Civiera, managing director of Civerinos in Edinburgh.
Stephen Watt, on-trade sales director at Heineken UK, said: “As a business, we’re striving to do everything we can to support the on-trade during these difficult times. Part of this process is creating an open dialogue between us and our customers or licensees to identify the areas in which they need advice. The launch of this new series of webinars enables us to gather that feedback from operators and address their questions with independent experts.”
Heineken has also teamed with online booking specialist Togo to launch Swifty, a new payment and loyalty app for the on-trade.
The app is designed to integrate with a venue’s existing EPOS system and allows customers to view menus, order and pay at table and book in advance. Heineken said the software is designed to help pub and bar operators maintain social distancing in their outlets by reducing the need for physical contact in-outlet. It will also feature promotions and loyalty campaigns to encourage repeat visits.
The app costs outlets £24 a month for the basic tier of the service, with Heineken and Star Pubs & Bars customers getting the first four months for free.
