THERE’S help at hand for pubs and individuals hosting online pub quizzes during the lockdown thanks to a new online service from Tennent’s.
PinTless allows users to take part in a premade quiz or create their own using the themed packs available. The platform’s bank of questions is updated with 70 new questions every Friday and covers seven themes, including general knowledge, music, sport and a series of Tennent’s-themed trivia questions to test beer fans; friends and family are able to access the online quizzes through a link which can be sent to them via email, text message or Whatsapp.
Kat MacBride, digital communications manager for Tennent’s, said: “With people unable to see friends and family in person, virtual-catch ups have made a big difference these past couple of months.
“A lot of planning goes into creating a quiz and after six weeks it can be difficult to find new questions, so we wanted to take the hard work out of hosting. With over 70 new questions each week, there will be something for everyone including a few one-off questions from special guests thrown into the mix.
“There’s loads of virtual quizzes popping up but there’s nothing quite like a pub quiz with family and friends like you’d have at your local. PinTless aims to make it easier for people to recreate that pub quiz spirit in their own home while they can’t get out to their favourite venue.”
