THE company behind single malts BenRiach and The GlenDronach has taken its education programme online with the launch of a new ‘conversation series’ on Instagram Live.
The Brown-Forman-owned malts hosted the first session last night (April 8) with the next scheduled for Wednesday April 15.
The first session focused on BenRiach, with global brand ambassador Stewart Buchanan and head of advocacy Douglas Cook taking viewers through the distillery’s three styles of spirit.
The next session will be hosted by master blender Rachel Barrie and Buchanan and will look at The GlenDronach along with the Scottish concept of ‘coorie’ – meaning to cosy and snuggle in.
Barrie and Buchanan will discuss the process of making The GlenDronach as well as they way they each like to enjoy the malt at home.
Barrie said: “One of the most special things about whisky is its ability to bring people together through a shared passion and interest in its stories.
“This is why we are inviting whisky lovers to make the most of this time at home to learn something new whilst staying safe. Whether it’s embracing the notion of ‘coorie’, or learning about the art of exploring flavour in single malt, we hope that people enjoy tuning in to join us for a dram.”
The GlenDronach session will take place at 8pm on Wednesday, April 15 on the brand’s Instagram Live channel, @GlenDronach.
