Something old and new

Fifty50 BottlesWHAT’S claimed to be the oldest gin in the world has been created by Renfrew whisky specialist House of MacDuff, and is being distributed to the on-trade by Huffman’s.

Half of Fifty/50 Gin has been matured for 20 years, the first ten of which were spent in virgin oak casks to impart colour and flavour, before being transferred into ex-whisky casks for another decade.

The barrel-aged spirit is then married with newly-distilled London Dry gin to create a spirit which is said to be “unlike anything on the market”.

The 50% ABV spirit is packaged in 50cl barrel-style bottles.
