WHAT’S being described as Edinburgh Gin’s “most decadent” flavour combination to date has been released in time for Christmas.

Bramble & Honey Gin is the latest expression from the Ian Macleod Distillers-owned gin brand and is said to showcase a “natural partnership of dark fruit and silky honey”.

Said to pair well with premium tonic water, the 40% ABV distillate has been released as flavoured variants continue to augment the growth of the UK gin market.

In the past year, over 60 million bottles of gin have been purchased across both the on-trade and off-trade, with the spirit forming almost 70% of the value growth in the spirits sector, according to Wine and Spirit Trade Association (WSTA) data.

Bramble & Honey joins the brand’s expanding range of full-strength flavoured gins, including Rhubarb & Ginger Gin and Lemon & Jasmine Gin, which were launched earlier this year.

Neil Boyd, UK managing director at Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “This year, Edinburgh Gin continues to establish itself as a leader in the flavoured gin category by developing a premium and considered range of new products.

“Our Classic gin sits at the heart of our diverse flavoured gin range. Its juniper-forward profile is the perfect base for a natural combination of bramble and honey, allowing us to create a truly indulgent, full-strength flavoured gin.”

The release follows industry recognition for the brand’s products. Rhubarb & Ginger Gin scooped a bronze medal at this month’s Scottish Gin Awards in Glasgow, while its Christmas Gin was highly commended in the London Dry category.
