The Irish Rover bar on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street is for sale.

OPERATORS looking for a Glasgow pub may be interested in The Irish Rover, which has come on to the books of property firm Bruce & Co.

Named after the mythical sailing ship which was the subject of an Irish folk song, the pub is located in a “prime city centre location”, on Sauchiehall Street.

Operated by the current owner since 2014, who is said to have “substantially developed” the business, the traditional basement bar comprises a bar area, two seating areas and a commercial kitchen.

A spokesman for Bruce & Co said: “The sale of The Irish Rover bar offers a great opportunity to purchase a well established city centre licensed premises, with excellent business opportunities.

“The business benefits from an excellent location; viewing is highly recommended.”
Offers over £219,000 are sought for the freehold of the pub.
