GLASGOW operators Kevin Campbell and Toni Carbajosa have opened a new Mexican-themed eatery on the city’s Hope Street.

The duo, who operate various restaurants in the city – including Halloumi and Rioja – have teamed up with publican Ryan Bowman to open Mezcal in a former office unit.

Said to be inspired by the street food culture of Mexico, Mezcal offers a varied selection of tacos alongside sharing dishes and cocktails.

It also stocks over 25 different types of mezcal behind the bar.

Kevin Campbell said the team’s aim is to offer customers “a taste of Mexico City in the heart of Glasgow”.
